Motorcycle Instructor Training

As well as training for and after a motorcycle test, we are fully qualified to teached experienced riders to become motorcycle instructors.

Should I Be a Motorcycle Instructor?

Although being a motorbike instructor might seem like a glamorous, laid back job it can be stressful and demanding. Before embarking on your training take a look at the following checklist:

  • You must passionate about motorcycling safety as well as riding in general.  You will be responsible for teaching good habits.
  • You must have heaps of patience!
  • You should be a ‘people person’ and able to work with different types of personalities and learning styles
  • You will have to be able to handle stress.  You will be monitoring inexperienced riders in situations that pose a genuine risk, e.g. busy roads.
  • You will need to be dedicated and willing to commit the time and money needed to become fully qualified.
  • You can only retain your instructor status as long as you are actively teaching and stay up to date with the necessary qualifications.

What is Involved in Motorcycle Instructor Training?

To embark on your motorcycle instructor training you must have had a full bike license for at least 3 years with no points.  You cannot have had any convictions or ever have had your license suspended or revoked.

You will shadow and gradually take parts of the various motorbike tests.  The time commitment needed will vary for each individual.
