Our Instructors

All of our instructors are highly trained with years of experience.  They are passionate about motorcycle riding and dedicated to helping people enjoying their learning experience and becoming safe, confident riders.

Iain Wilson

Westcoast Bike Training owner Iain Wilson has been riding motorcycles for over 20 years and is a Cardington approved instructorand IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists).  He loves meeting new people and helping them through their motorcycle training and tests.

Kenny McKinnell

Kenny has a mountain of experience – 35 years- of motorcycling, and the knowledge that he has gained over the years is hard to beat.  He is a  Cardington assessed, IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists) qualified DAS Instructor. When not training, he loves to take his Honda Blackbird for day runs.

Jimmy Yair

Jimmy works part time for Westcoast Bike Training, delivering a high standard of advanced motorcycle training as an IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists) motorcycle examiner.  A Police motorcyclist, he also heads up the Strathclyde Police’s BikeSafe event.  Spending so much of his professional and leisure time on bikes, it’s clear to see just how much he loves motorcycling!
